Zhul Hijjah 1435
There have been NO reports of verified sighting of Hilal on the eve of 29th Zhul Qadah 1435, Wed 24th September, 2014 from within the parameters of the Hilal Committee of Toronto. Therefore the month of Zhul Hijjah will begin on Friday the 26th of September, 2014.
Correspondingly the 10th of Zhul Hijjah - EID AL ADHA - will fall on Sunday the 5th October 2015.

There have been numerous reports of verified sighting of Hilal on the eve of 29th Zhul Hijjah 1433, Tuesday 16th October, 2012 from within the parameters of the Hilal Committee of Toronto, namely Barbados & Trinidad. Therefore the month of Zhul Hijjah will be on Wednesday the 17th of October, 2012.

Alhumdulillah, registration for hajj has begun. We have been facilitating hajj trips on a non-profit basis as a service to the community for many years. We strive to ensure that hujjaj have a comfortable and beneficial experience, and offer extensive classes and seminars to ensure hujjaj are ready both logistically and spiritually, for their pilgrimage.→ If you wish to perform hajj with us, please register soon. Spots cannot be held, and registration will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.

- 7 days in Makkah (Al Safwah Royal Al Jewar Hotel)
Close to Al-Masjid Al-Haraam; two, three, or four persons per room with private bath; breakfast & dinner open buffet style; ziarah to religious and historical sites - 5 days in Madinah (Al Khozama Hotel)
Close to Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi; two, three, or four persons per room with private bath; breakfast & dinner open buffet style; ziarah to religious and historical sites - 2 days in Aziziah (apartment hotel)

Every year the Islamic Institute of Toronto organises a hajj group as a service to the community, on a non-profit basis. Our objective is to ensure that the manasik of hajj are performed in accordance with the authentic teachings of the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
If you wish to perform hajj with the IIT, you should register soon. Spots cannot be held, and registration will be done on a first-come, first-served basis:

1. A completed registration form
2. Deposit cheque for $2,000 (payable to "Dar El Salam Canada")
3. A photocopy of your passport (just the ID pages)
4. Four passport pictures
The hajj group must attend the following class. Others are welcome to attend as well, for a fee of $30 per person.
| Objective | This course will provide an understanding of hajj, the fifth pillar of Islam and the once-in-a-lifetime obligation on Muslims. At the end of the course, participants will have a greater appreciation of the importance, excellence and prerequisites of the pilgrimage and will gain practical knowledge of how to perform the rituals (manasik) of hajj. |

Dhul Hijjah starts Monday 8th of November 2010. EID AL ADHA is on Wednesday 17th November, 2010. Eid Mubaarak
There have been no reports of confirmed sightings of the new Hilal for Dhul Hijjah 1431 on the eve of Saturday the 29th Dhul Qa'adah 1431, from within the parameters of the Hilal Committee of Toronto. Therefore the Hilal Committee declares Monday 8th November the 1st of Dhul Hijjah. Accordingly;
Eid Al Adha will be on Wednesday 17th November, 2010.
Eid Mubarak to one and all, including the over 90 member organizations with the Hilal Committee of GTA.

Alhamdulillah, the IIT's hajj package (from $7,290) is now available and registration is open. The group leaves Toronto on October 30 and returns on November 20 inshallah. The departure date cannot be adjusted, the trip cannot be shortened, but you can travel anywhere you wish after hajj - for an additional cost.
