#Toronto / GTA: Eid Al Adha to be Sunday October 5th, 2014 - Hilal Committee of GTA

Zhul Hijjah 1435

There have been NO reports of verified sighting of Hilal on the eve of 29th Zhul Qadah 1435, Wed 24th September, 2014 from within the parameters of the Hilal Committee of Toronto. Therefore the month of Zhul Hijjah will begin on Friday the 26th of September, 2014.

Correspondingly the 10th of Zhul Hijjah - EID AL ADHA - will fall on Sunday the 5th October 2015.

Insha'Allah the 9th Annual Hifz, Naazira and Qira'atul Qur'an Competition will take place on March 1st, 2014 (Girls) and March 7-9, 2014 (Boys).  All interested participants should start preparing from now and regularly check this website for further updates.

The Qira’atul Qur’an and Hifz Competition is made possible by the generosity of individuals such as yourselves, Jazakumullahu Khair. Please donate generously to help subsidize the costs incurred for this event. May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala reward you abundantly for your kindness.

Final Competition Information Preparations are being made as the Islamic Foundation of Toronto prepares to host the 9th Annual Hifz, Naazira, and Qira'atul-Qur'an Competition, the largest Qira'at Competition in North America and the excitement is building! Our program schedule will be posted soon insha-Allah. Please continue to check our website for updates. Registration timings as well as other pertinent information for participants can be found by clicking on the "Girls Competition" and "Boys Competition" tabs.
