Alhumdulillah, registration for hajj has begun. We have been facilitating hajj trips on a non-profit basis as a service to the community for many years. We strive to ensure that hujjaj have a comfortable and beneficial experience, and offer extensive classes and seminars to ensure hujjaj are ready both logistically and spiritually, for their pilgrimage.

  • $8,200 (quad occupancy), $8,500 (triple occupancy), $9,200 (double occupancy)

  • 7 days in Makkah (Al Safwah Royal Al Jewar Hotel)
    Close to Al-Masjid Al-Haraam; two, three, or four persons per room with private bath; breakfast & dinner open buffet style; ziarah to religious and historical sites

  • 5 days in Madinah (Al Khozama Hotel)
    Close to Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi; two, three, or four persons per room with private bath; breakfast & dinner open buffet style; ziarah to religious and historical sites

  • 2 days in Aziziah (apartment hotel)

Every year the Islamic Institute of Toronto organises a hajj group as a service to the community, on a non-profit basis. Our objective is to ensure that the manasik of hajj are performed in accordance with the authentic teachings of the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.


If you wish to perform hajj with the IIT, you should register soon. Spots cannot be held, and registration will be done on a first-come, first-served basis:

To register, please submit:

1. A completed registration form
2. Deposit cheque for $2,000 (payable to "Dar El Salam Canada")
3. A photocopy of your passport (just the ID pages)
4. Four passport pictures 







The hajj group must attend the following class. Others are welcome to attend as well, for a fee of $30 per person.

Objective  This course will provide an understanding of hajj, the fifth pillar of Islam and the once-in-a-lifetime obligation on Muslims. At the end of the course, participants will have a greater appreciation of the importance, excellence and prerequisites of the pilgrimage and will gain practical knowledge of how to perform the rituals (manasik) of hajj.

From points North: Take any North South Rd. (e.g. Markham Rd.) to Finch Avenue East. Left on Finch Avenue, then left on Neilson Rd.

Via Public Transit: Take the TTC to Kennedy Subway Station. Join the Scarborough Rapid Transit to Scarborough Town Centre. Take Neilson 133 for a direct ride to the IIT. Alternatively, take Nugget 131, then transfer to Neilson 133 at Neilson Rd. going North. Other buses that service the area: 39 Finch from the Finch subway station.

Pickering Islamic Centre (Masjid Usman) - Kids Program - Sunday April 29th, 2012 - 1pm-3pm


                                
 Assalamu Alaikum Wa-rahmatullah,
 
 
This is a reminder that  Inshallah  there will be a kids program this  Sunday April 29th 2012
 from  1:00pm to 3:00pm for boys and girls ages 4-9. Kids will be entertained by meaningful stories, games and snacks.  Inshallah this will equip kids with meaningful lessons and allow for kids to develop an early attachment with the house of Allah and also provide parents with a much needed break. Abu Huraira Centre (#Toronto) - Institute for Islamic Studies - May Courses - Register Online


This is a program aimed at providing Islamic education at a highly structured and organized manner. The aim of the program in a nut shell is to provide a complete understanding of core elements of Islam, in order to present a solid base within two years period. In addition to providing this solid Islamic base for those individuals interesting this program aims at providing them the opportunity to further their Islamic education in understanding more complex subject manner.

Delivery Method

In order to maintain a high level of structure and organization this program will be presented in the form of courses. The duration of each course will be three months and will be conducted on a weekly base with the option of taking multiple courses together. Each course will structured with a mid-term and an exam at the end of the course with other assessments throughout the three month semester. There will be a high level of interaction between the instructor and pupils as classes will be limited to 50 students. All of the instructors of this program are qualified and accredited from renowned Islamic institutes. 

Intended Audience

There is a minimum educational level of grade eleven for acceptance into the program in order to maintain a higher degree of competency. This program will provide individuals who wanted to further their Islamic education an opportunity to do so regardless of whether they are working or attending university as the scheduling will aim to accommodate most schedules. In all, this program will aim to afford many the opportunity to learn Islam.

Course Description

The main goal of these courses is to give students a reliable introduction to the fundamental concepts which form the foundations of the main fields of Islamic knowledge. These courses covers all the essential principles of our deen that a Muslim is required to know and practice - from the categories of Aqeedah, Fiqh, Hadith, Seerah, History, Quran, Arabic and more.  

Major Instructional Goals

These Courses are intended to:
  1. Awaken in students a consciousness (Taqwa) and love of Allah and His Messenger as the foundation of their intellectual, emotional and spiritual life, thereby providing a sound basis for rational and reflective understanding of the people and world around them.
  2. Teach students to be conscious of their responsibility to obey Allah, serving Him actively as trustees with all the talents and resources He has given them.
  3. Enable students to fulfill their obligation to worship Allah in the manner He and His Messenger have prescribed.
  4. Nurture the student's personality towards the best moral and social conduct.
  5. Develop responsible citizens, who will contribute to the well-being of our Umma and of humanity in general.
  6. Introduce students to the Fundamental teachings of Islam and to the ways in which this is reflected in experiences and practices.
  7. Encourage students to reflect on contemporary issues and act thereon in the light of the Qur'aan and Sunnah.
