On Sunday June 20th, 2010 - Insha-Allah, Masjid Darul Iman will be holding a ground-breaking ceremony for the start of the Masjid construction on the purchased land (near the corner of 16th Avenue and Hwy 48) The program will consist of two parts on Sunday June 20th: 12:30 pm - Groundbreaking and duas at the purchased land on 6230 - 16th Avenue (please park your car at the Br. Andre High School - [map]) - FREE ONLINE REGISTRATION 5:30 pm - Fundraising Dinner and Nasheed Program at Crystal Fountain Banquet Hall [map] with special guest nasheed artist, Junaid Jamshed (further speakers to be announced) $100 per ticket - BUY TICKETS ONLINE This project will Insha-Allah be of great significance for protecting and supporting the growing needs of the Muslim Community in Markham and for enhancing the cause of Islam, in addition to, benefiting Muslim generations for decades to come. Adult Brothers Program: May - August Semester

Masjid al-Farooq has organized its adult courses into an institute/college-like system, alhamduli'Allah. Some highlights include: All courses (including all available levels) will be offered every semester inshaAllah 3 semesters per year Each semester - 4 months (16 weeks) Fees have been reduced for some courses Progress through levels via integrated courses Course Schedules are as follows: Arabic Language 1 – Wed May 5 Arabic Language 2 – Tue May 4 Arabic Language 3 – Thurs May 6 Tajweed 1 – Sunday May 2 Tajweed 2 – Sunday May 2 Basic Quran Reading – Sat May 1 Hifz al-Quran – Tue May 4 For additional information, please have a look at the Brochure and Course Schedule for the upcoming Summer semester starting in May.
